For my purpose, this is excellent. We put it under the double bunk bed in a camper for extra cushion. We had to cut the bottom (short bunk) and an angled corner and this only is short a few inches on each side which is what I wanted so I can tuck the blankets under the cushion without it adding bulk to the side. However, if you are buying this for a twin bed, beware that there was a defect near one corner where it was compressed/melted and did not uncompressed. Very impressed the small sized packaging for such a large item. Only a faint smell and I have a super sniffer, so it shouldn’t be hardly noticed by most people.

As hubby was recovering from surgery, we had hoped this mattress topper would provide an extra bit of comfort AND coolness during recovery. It was a little more comfortable but after about a week, it soon tore all the way across the middle, where the butt was probably placing pressure. My husband is not overweight at only 165 lbs., and we never dreamed this would happen. We have tried several different types of tape to get the topper to be usable, but that doesn’t work, and nothing seems to hold it together. Now it worthless!
