This is an awesome pillow top. This fit perfectly on a 14″ King mattress, over a pad protector, under the fitted sheet. I did the 20min fluff up in the dryer before installing, after unpacking and it doubled in size, fluffed up, looked and worked great. Hey… this isn’t an air conditioner, it will give some cooling due to the air pockets, but it definitely won’t add heat to your sleep. As far as performance, I got the firm king mattress from amazon and dropping on it was like hitting a brick, this added the semi-softness that it needed to add “just enough” padding to make sleeping on it probably 80% better. Will it cure your back pain? It’s not a massage pad folks, just try to sleep on your back on this and see if it helps, it did for me. I figured if this wasn’t enough padding you can always get one of those 3″ pads and put it below this later but so far, this is the trick. Amazon has enough add-ons that adding this could be the first step or the last one in a good night’s sleep. Worked for me.
