Took a chance on this mattress after reading all the great reviews. Never had a memory foam mattress before. I am in my mid 50’s and was getting joint pain, shoulders were sore, thought I was getting arthritis. Turns out it was the dip in my bed that was hurting me and causing my shoulders to turn while I was sleeping. I had a 15 year old Simmons Beautyrest with a pillow top.

The bed arrived and I unpacked it, let it sit for the recommended 72 hours before use. I probably could have used it sooner but I thought I would wait..At first I was a bit worried it would be too hard, and too cold when I layed on it for the first time. That was not the case at all. My first night’s sleep was amazing. Just the right amount of support. It isn’t cold either with sheets and blankets, just the right temperature and I sleep in my birthday suit. I didnt wake up once all night, in fact, I slept in until 10am when I usually wake up around 8am daily.. That’s how I know this was a great purchase. Maybe the best $300 I have ever spent. I know, nobody wants to spend money on a bed..I didn’t, but trust me when I say this mattress is worth every penny. Looks like it will last as well, good quality. Get it. You won’t be disappointed. My only issue is I keep thinking I should have paid the extra $50 and got the 12 inch over the 10 inch but it seems fine, I am a single guy 6’2″ 215 pounds. And my queen size sheets and mattress pad fit just right on the 10″.

Great sleeps (for a year) but now I’m starting to notice a little dip forming where I normally lay already :/ maybe that’s my bad though as I tend to lay in bed a lot during the day as well so it’s not getting a chance to pop back up. I wonder if it ever will :/ I will rotate it sometime soon and also try to fluff it up a bit I suppose and see if that will help it bounce back. I hope so because having a dip really bothers me and keeps me awake.

Purchased a single 8″ King and two 6″ Full green tea mattresses for the RV. We haven’t used yet but initial test they seem quite comfortable and are a significant upgrade from the mattresses that came with the RV. We only intend on using them about 2-3 weeks a year so I suspect they will hold up even though they are not that thick. I had to cut all 3 for desired fit. There are lots of on-line resources and anyone can do it. Highly recommend for campers.

Even though we’re very happy with our purchase, giving 3 stars because of a few quality issues that could impact other users:
    – the 8″ only expanded to 7″ (the 6″ both expanded to 6″ however)
    – 1 of the mattresses had the blue foam on the bottom instead of the top (raises questions about manufacturer quality control process) which I would not have detected if I did not cut open the cover to cut the mattress
    – 2 of the 3 zippers on the outer cover broke when I tried to unzip them (I was very gentle but they are very poor quality)
    – overall I question the quality of this manufacturer and if I was using these mattresses for daily use I would be concerned about how well they would hold up but for my intended use I’m very happy with this purchase and wish I purchased years ago as an upgrade to the very thin RV OEM mattresses

I had the Zinus 14in memory foam mattress that had the fiber glass in it so was pleased to see this version without. I bought this for my new place and it arrived rolled up vacuumed sealed and actually expanded to its full height in less than a day. The mattress was nice and firm and I slept well, in fact I slept so well I missed the delivery of my washer and dryer…so there you go, it’s worth it. I also ordered the same mattress in 10” for the guest room with same firmness which my eldest son slept in and he also had the same good night sleep. Worth the buy and priced competively.

TLDR: Great mattress considering its thickness. Good support. Adequate combination of firmness and softness.

I had a very good experience with another 14 inch mattress from Zinus before (I had to give it up because of moving), so when I needed a thinner guest mattress I thought I should give this one a try.
I have been sleeping on it every night for the past 2 weeks and I haven’t had any back pain issues so far.
It is firmer than my old 14 inch Zinus mattress. Nevertheless, it still does a good job considering it is much thinner and has no springs.
The memory foam is comfy and helps with my comfort as I’m a side sleeper.
It inflated within a couple of hours, but I let it rest for 48 hours just to be on the safe side. It was in its full thickness after 12 hours though ( I didn’t notice any visible change after that).
It didn’t have any bad/plastic smell either.

    Pros:
    * Right balance of firmness and comfort
    * Fits under my queen bed easily
    * Detachable and washable cover

    Cons:
    * Slightly firmer than what I like, but it is not a deal breaker

Verdict: If you have space under one of your beds and want to host a guest, do not hesitate to get this mattress. They’ll love it!

Let me start off by saying that it has been a rollercoaster ride with this mattress. Okay, so why the 5 stars, you ask? Well, I will tell you why.

When it arrived, everything was great. It was packaged well. Vacuumed sealed so tight I didn’t think it would ever unroll right. I gave it the full 72 hours to inflate. That’s when the problems occurred.

At 75 hours, the mattress had barely inflated to 8 inches. For reference, I bought the 10-inch. And I know sometimes that the measurements can be a bit off, so I considered it my fault for being such a cheap arse and not forking out for the 12 or 14. My reasoning: I was gonna get a topper at some point and I don’t want to be like Princess and tf-ng Pea in a room with a low ceiling.

I waited another day. Measured again. No sign of movement. I tried to contact the seller and, well anyone who has tried doing anything on Amazon knows how wonderful that is. Instead of giving me the seller, it sent me ring around the rosy with processing a return. I cannot tell you how many times I made it clear that I did NOT want to send it back and I did NOT want a refund. I only wanted help in trying to resolve this issue myself. I felt it was something that could be fixed. If it came to it, then we could talk about credits or refunds.

This went on for over an hour. I finally managed somehow to be taken to the manufacturer’s website and, once again went through the drama of “No, I don’t want to return it and I don’t want a refund. I just want help.” I finally reached a human being at some point. A person by the name of Maverick contacted me and suggested I set the mattress on the floor and roll around or walk on it a bit. Apparently, sometimes the memory foam doesn’t want to decompress all the way. These actions tend to help.

I wrote back to him every time there was movement. 9 inches. 9.5 inches. I was so excited the day after my roommate slept on it that it got all the way up to 10 inches inflated! I immediately fired off a note to Maverick to let him know and to thank him for the suggestions.

He was patient and told me exactly what needed to be done and why. It never even occurred to me that sometimes memory foam just “be that way” and you have to sort of give it a boost.

All that said, I’ve been sleeping on it now for about a month. It’s probably the most firm memory foam I’ve ever owned, and I probably could have done well with one a bit squishier, but this is fine. I got exactly what I ordered. I’m not gonna complain about that.

I don’t see any evidence of fiberglass, as mentioned in another review. Of course, I don’t ever intent to remove the protective cover and will instead have one on top of it at some point.

It being several inches more shallow than other mattresses I’ve owned, let me just tell you know… it puts them to shame! My previous mattress, same brand, was a 12-inch and not nearly as firm. It had edge issues where you’d fall to the floor if you weren’t careful. I don’t see that being an issue with this one. It’s fairly sturdy sitting on the edge and I imagine that if I had access to the corners they would be the same #sleighbed. And my previous mattress, you could feel the metal slats underneath every freaking time you turned. It was awful. I had to put sheets of plywood down to keep from being gored in the night. With this mattress though?? I don’t feel a dang thing. Granted the slats on this bed are wooden and not metal, even when I pounce on the bed, I don’t feel a thing – just snuggliness.

I’m waiting for my bed to break if I do that again though – for reference, I’m about 345lbs. Do you have any idea what that does to a bed if you just pounce on it like a lion on the Serengeti? Apparently, nothing (knock on wood). The mattress absorbs the impact. I would be confident with dropping an egg from a skyscraper onto this mattress. That is how awesome it is.

It didn’t have any sort of weird odor when I removed it from its wrapping. The only thing that sort of made it difficult to get any help was that the date of manufacture was missing from the tag when I was trying to get assistance from the manufacturer. If anyone has to deal with that, just take a picture of the tag anyway to prove that it is blank. It’ll help you out in the long run.

If I’m ever in the market for a mattress again any time soon, I am definitely purchasing this one – as long as it’s available. I can sleep at night. It doesn’t aggravate my low back pain or even my hip pain. I’m actually grateful it isn’t as squishy as I would like because then my problem would be never wanting to get out of bed. Heck, even with my weight (when lying down) I barely sink into the mattress. And at least now I can wake up in the morning and go about my day without feeling as though my body has been hit by a truck and all I want to do is stay in bed. Very happy with this purchase!

I am a gentleman of size. A size large enough that it is statistically unlikely that anyone reading this review will be larger. I purchased this mattress because my old spring-based unit had finally reached its end of life and I was casting about for a replacement. When you’re a size-enhanced individual, however, maths gets involved. Your options decrease.

I rolled the dice on this model of mattress because, at the time of purchase, it was a little over $300 Canadian. At time of purchase, this is about the price of a bargain spring mattress. I had serious doubt that this would support me, but was worth the risk.

The result was beyond my wildest expectations. The mattress provides amazing support, both for myself and my wife. I haven’t slept this well in 20 years.

Now, I have no way of knowing how long this mattress will last in this condition. Continued use will no doubt reduce the firmness and support of the foam. Just as spring mattresses eventually reach end of life, so too must this foam mattress. That said, I don’t honestly think lifespan should be a serious consideration. The quality of the item is such that I am confident of getting at least a few years out of it, even at my size.

More to the point, perhaps, the quality of the sleep is such that, at $300 Canadian for the mattress, I would glad buy a new one every year just to be able to sleep that well each night. The ability to wake up refreshed like this every morning will pay for itself a thousand fold. I’ve gotten more done in the first morning after my first night’s sleep on this thing than I accomplished in most of the week prior. Coming from a broken down spring mattress that had me tossing and turning all night, the difference in quality of sleep really is that stark.

First, this is not my first rodeo, having purchased a memory foam bed in a box 12 years ago, the mattress having a 10 year warranty, so not bad, right? A different brand, also a queen folded and rolled in a box roughly 42″x15″ and weighed 97 lbs!

I purchased this queen in the supposedly environmentally-friendly cardboard box roughly 63″x12″–I didn’t measure it but a queen mattress is 60×80 and there was a little extra room. The box was the thickest cardboard I’ve ever seen and a bear to cut up small enough for our local recycling pickup. Then there was the issue of the massive amount of plastic wrapped around the mattress, not recyclable locally, and much more than my first mattress. The new mattress also was harder to unbox, in part due to the length and tight fit.

Once I got the outer plastic off, mattress rolled out, and grabbed my scissors, I started cutting around the edge expecting the nearly violent expansion the first mattress had. This one was well behaved and I had it unwrapped in no time as it slowly inflated. It was nearly 10 inches in about 20 minutes, not bad. I didn’t plan on using it that night anyhow, but I could have.

After the next night I was a bit disappointed because the mattress was not as firm as I liked. Tolerable, anyhow. Night #2 was better, but it was still soft particularly on the edges. Third night was the charm, as just sitting on the edge I could tell it was solid now!
