    I bought this for an extra guest who will be staying for a week. Since space is limited in this one-bedroom unit, I had to find something that can be put away or minimized when the guest is gone. I’m pretty happy with this purchase as it arrived quickly and packaged well.

    I was quite nervous about the quality since some of the reviews mentioned mattress not expanding to 4 inches. Thankfully in just 24 hours it expanded to nearly 4 inches and there were no smell. I let it expand for one more day and it’s perfect and fold up nicely just as described!

    Of course, this is a 4-inch mattress so don’t expect it to be super comfy. For reference I’m around 135 lbs and this feels like a medium to soft mattress. (Twin size)

    While I thought this would be a mattress- at 3 inches, I knew it would be thin. But, because you can order different thicknesses, for different prices, it is labeled on Amazon as a mattress. However, even the box that it came in was labeled “mattress topper.”

    Not to say that this isn’t a good mattress topper- because it is. But we put this on a bed frame and 3 inches of foam, I found out, is not a conducive enough thickness to sleep on and find any type of comfort on. If anyone is thinking about this as just a mattress, I would go with the 6 to 9-inch choice, rather than the 3. And, if I could do this all again, I would have chosen a 9-inch mattress here.

    However, the three-inch choice that I got- fit on a general twin frame nicely. Before we got another mattress (and used this as a topper)- we had to put some cardboard and stuffing under it- and I got sore when I slept on it. It was very hard to sleep on alone. While I have a terrible back- I don’t think 3 inches of foam (which is what is inside this covered mattress) is enough for anyone- even physically pain-free and healthy-boned young people.

    When I was young my grandmother always brought out foam like this for us to sleep on (though there was no covering as this one has)- herself included- but it was much thicker foam than this- maybe three or four times the thickness here. However, I spent several weeks and months sleeping on thicker foam- so the thicker you go here, the more comfortable you will be. In the end though, with enough foam- you can sleep quite comfortably.

    What I love about this mattress is that it does fold up well- and you can easily transport it. Just as the ad shows, it folds in three pieces and while it still is quite large- it is much more manageable than any other mattress I have ever seen to move. The case for the mattress is quite large for the tri-folding piece- and it’s cheaply made with no bells and whistles- but it works and will protect the mattress when it is not in use.

    While I wish that the 3-inch mattress I got would have had a specific denotation that it was more of a topper than a mattress- I am stuck with it. I don’t like the burden of having to return things- and I figured I now had a topper. Plus, I should have gone with my gut and gone thicker- I don’t remember the exact choices they had now (as it is well over a month or more later) but a 9-inch would have been better- then you have a mattress that you can fold up and store (without worry, because of the cover), or easily move- a feature that I really like, that, no matter what, this mattress can stay with you for a long time- even in case of emergencies later in life.

    If there are any questions about this mattress, feel free to reach out and ask them! Also know that the rating of this mattress does not reflect this mattress as a whole, just as a 3-inch mattress. I believe that had I known that the mattress would be more of a topper and gone with a thicker one- I would have been extremely happy and very comfortable. Plus, the ease of moving and storing a mattress……

    Check out the photo that I added- to show the thickness of the 3-inch (or lack thereof), along with the great covering (which is another feature I love) over the foam inside… I wish my grandma had foam mattresses that folded and were covered like these are- when we were young- as they are so much nicer!

    Bought this for my camping trips, comes with a storage case and fits perfectly in my car’s trunk for travelling. Definitely helped me sleep better on the hard ground, if you want more comfort I would go with a thicker size but for me this was good.

    I work a very early shift and having this mattress in my car to rest comfortably during my break is priceless. The four inch thickness coupled with the right amount of firmness/softness is unbeatable. My husband asked for a second one to make long trips easier and save on a hotel stop. I have a bucket seat style second row and two of the single size mattresses fit just right!! It is one of my best purchases here at Amazon. I think SUV’s should come with a foldable mattress as an option!!

    Bought a 3-inch twin mattress for my grandma who was going to stay with us for over a month. Because of her back issue, she has to sleep on the floor. I was worried 3 inch would not be thick enough. However, when I opened the package and left it laying flat just like the instruction had indicated for about 30 minutes, it looked really decent with the shape and the thickness. The mattress is very comfortable to lay down. Also, it has a cover, so the cover can be washed which is super nice. Since it is foldable with the case, it can be stored without taking up too much space in our closet. The price of the mattress was within our budget, and we are pleased with the quality.

    I like this mattress very much; I purchased it to expand sleeping arrangements for my grandkids at an affordable price. It looked seriously inadequate upon opening the packaging, but by the end of the day it plumped up to 4″ thick as advertised. I love that it folds into a smaller footprint for storage. BUT my rating was knocked down because it did not come with the storage bag advertised. I called the company, but their recording encourages you to complete their contact form for assistance. I did that but have not received a response. Very disappointing! Do I need to return my purchase and reorder to get the storage bag??

    THIS IS NOT AS ADVERTISED
    BUYER BEWARE!!!
    I will have to buy a 2nd one because this is not as advertised. It’s not 4″. It’s about 2.5″ I was expecting it to be thicker. Much thicker

    The person who took a picture with their finger as reference guide is the best description of this product. I should of believed the negative reviews.

    The measurements length & width wise are exactly what I need for the back of my sofa.

    Fortunately I’m just using this as a back rest not as a sleeping device.
