This bed is excellent. Bought the TWIN 9”. No surprises and exactly what you would want if purchasing a mattress for the first time on Amazon-without being able to feel it for yourself before buying. This is just the firm you would want-if you don’t want a soft mushy mattress. I stay very cool lying on this mattress(using only cotton for mattress cover and sheets). Just the right height. I had a great sleep the first night-and continue to still. This is a mattress you will look forward to sleeping and chilling on every night. After I recieved it vacuum packaged and rolled up in box left by UPS, I let it unravel on top of my boxspring and settle for almost 24 hours before I laid on it, just to follow the instructions properly.
Smells brand new, but no offensive odors or anything I like. I was excited to sleep on it. Beautiful mattress, and you can turn it clockwise or counterclockwise monthly to break in the foot & head end evenly if you want. Worth it, would buy again-and would direct anyone else I know to buy this one. Superior value for a really great price!!!

This mattress won’t be for everyone, but for me, it is one of the best deals I have ever had. This mattress has a hybrid design and the bulk of it is mostly pocket coils with a shallow but effective layer of foam and padding on the top of it. The mattress comes rolled up in a box and takes merely just a few minutes to unpack it, roll it out and let it return to its proper size and shape. However, the foam does take some time to really get that “pillow top” texture and for the first few nights I found the foam to be more on the thinner side and more dense/firm.
I have now owned this mattress for a few months, and it has only gotten more comfortable. Within the first week it was worn in and the foam had finally given me a slight cradle, but without being too distracting. I find that memory foam mattresses sometimes are too soft which hurt my back, but with the support of the pocket coil springs in this one, it was firm enough to where I could more easily stay asleep without waking up from any cramping or aches. This bed is also much cooler in terms of temperature compared to my old all-foam mattress, as air is more easily able to flow between the coils and keep the top layer cooler. As someone who has a tendency to overheat, I have had that occur substantially less since owning this mattress.
As mentioned, this mattress does run on the firmer side, so for those who prefer a “sinking-in” or a more pronounced “cradling” feeling, this may not be the best option for you. It’s a very firm and supportive mattress with just the right amount of cushion, in my opinion. IF you try to press them, you can feel the coils through the top slightly, but when just laying out across it you will not notice them. I also weigh about 180 lbs, and it had no issues supporting my weight.
The only major complaint I have about the mattress is just the texture of the fabric that covers the top of the mattress. If you don’t use a protector or a bed sheet, the fabric can get a bit rough after just a few nights and feel scratchy against your skin. Once I got a twin sheet for it, that issue became unnoticeable. Another small issue is that the foam in a couple small locations has “lifted” a bit and looks raised or like a small mound. It hasn’t affected the mattress and once you lay down on it, it flattens back out and it isn’t major at all but it is something to mention. The other final thing I will note is that because of how good this mattress was, I bought another one for another family member and despite them being about the same size as I am, the foam on theirs never got as plush or soft as it is on mine despite getting identical models. I don’t know what that is about, but it is also worth mentioning.
Overall, I am still giving this a high rating because for the value it really is hard to beat. It is the perfect mattress for those looking for something that is more firm and for back support, and it will also work great for those who may like foam mattresses but don’t like the heat they make you feel throughout the night. I think it is an exceptional deal, and is worth every cent. I highly recommend it!

I freakin’ LOVE the this mattress. I had to return a mattress before this one- my body hurt all over after sleeping on that one. Yes, it “ enveloped “ my body cozily….but I hurt all over in the morning. I don’t sink into this one, but my body feels great in the morning. I do wish I had had more faith and gone with the nine inch, as the 12 inch is really too high for my daybed and looks funny. I fully believe the nine inch would have been adequate for my needs, even at 175 lbs.

Finally, a mattress that lives up to it’s FIRM description! I’ve tried so many mattresses and was almost ready to splurge on an expensive natural version, but decided to give this one a shot after reading thru the multiple comments that it was indeed firm-very firm. Time will tell if any dipping or hollowing happens. While I’m an average size 5’4”, weight 145, and generally a side-sleeper (most recommend medium comfort level vs firm for this), I prefer to sleep ON TOP of the mattress and not having to lift myself out of a foam-conforming ditch as I’m moving around at night. As a 50-ish yr old woman, this is not a hot-sleeping mattress and has a bit of spring when getting up at night, although I would prefer the sides to stay a bit more rigid when sitting on them. I am likely to add a natural latex topper (firm) just to bring it up the 3” needed to match the height of our other side of the King bed and provide the tiniest amount of comfort to make this perfect for my needs. (Hubby is less picky and likes to sink in his side of the mattress. He is confounded by the number the mattresses we’ve gone through because nothing felt right to me. We finally chose 2x twin xl’s to make it easier to change out my choices, until I found something just right. This one is finally it!!) If you havent heard it before— you can always make a firm mattress softer with less dense additional layering, but you cant really firm up a dipping too-soft mattress by adding anything that wont ultimately also sag, which exacerbates the problem.
Opening— was a bit worried, since it was the last Twin XL available at the time, that I might get a return. But, I dont believe that to be the case. It arrived vacuum sealed and immediately sprang to nearly all of the 9” I ordered when slicing through the encased wrap. The creases and corners did their thing to rebound overnite near a warm, sunny window. It was exactly the size I ordered- 9”, Twin XL.
Another reason for choosing this company’s mattress.—it was important to me to try to find a product made in the US, for several reasons.
Bottom line: If you like to sleep on a very firm surface, THIS is a winner.
